TRAIL TROMP NEWS

RECORD ATTENDANCE FOR TRAIL HIKE

Despite a continuous sprinkle last Saturday morning, Cub Scout and Scouts BSA members set a high attendance record for the highest number of hikers at the annual Trail Tromp event at Camp Robert Drake neat Catlin. Illini Lodge of the Order of the Arrow hosts this yearly fitness walk along the Onaquispasippi Trail, which follows the perimeter boundary of the 400-acre property. Through a constant drizzle, over 110 hikers, from a dozen Scouting units, marched along the banks of the Salt Fork River. Scouts and leaders from throughout the nine county Prairielands Council of Scouting America donned their rain gear and mud boots to enjoy the moist out of doors. Special thanks to OA Lodge #55 for conducting the Trail Tromp this spring.
