Reserve a Site at Camp Drake

Camp Robert Drake facilities are available for rental by Scout units and other organizations most weeks of the year.

Driving Directions to Camp Robert Drake
 
Via Interstate 74 From the West
  1. Take Interstate 74 to the Oakwood exit. Oakwood is about 7 miles west of Danville, IL, and about 24 miles east of Urbana, IL.
  2. From the Oakwood exit, go south through Oakwood. Cross US 150 and keep going south.
  3. About 2 miles from US 150, after you cross the bridge over the Salt Fork river, watch for the Camp Drake sign on the left near the top of the rise out of the river valley. This is County Road 1450 N, the first left turn after crossing the bridge.
  4. Turn left and follow the road (it winds around a lot) about 2 miles to the Camp Drake entrance.
Via Interstate 74 From the East
  1. Take Interstate 74 to the US 150 exit on the west side of Danville, IL.
  2. Take US 150 west.
  3. Turn south on Oakwood Road (CR 850 E) in Oakwood.
  4. About 2 miles from US 150, after you cross the bridge over the Salt Fork river, watch for the Camp Drake sign on the left near the top of the rise out of the river valley. This is County Road 1450 N, the first left turn after crossing the bridge.
  5. Turn left and follow the road (it winds around a lot) about 2 miles to the Camp Drake entrance.
From Southeast (Westville, Georgetown)
  1. From US 150/Illinois 1, take County Road 1350 N east. CR 1350 N is on the north side of Belgium, between Danville, IL and Westville, IL.
  2. Follow CR 1350 N about three miles to Catlin.
  3. Stay on CR1350 N through Catlin.
  4. Continue for another two miles to Camp Drake Road (CR 1020E). There should be a sign for Camp Drake.
  5. Turn right (north) on Camp Drake Road.
  6. Drive north for 1 1/2 miles until Camp Drake Road ends at CR 1500 N.
  7. Turn left and continue for a half mile to the Camp Drake entrance.
From Southwest (Tuscola, Villa Grove)
  1. From southern Champaign County take Illinois 130 north to County Highway 15. This is between Philo and Urbana.
  2. Turn east on CH 15. Follow it through Sidney and Homer. Watch for the dog-leg left in Homer. (CH 15 changes to CR 1250 N as it crosses into Vermillion County, and then CR 1350 N.)
  3. Watch for Camp Drake Road, which is CR 1020E. There is a sign for Camp Drake.
  4. Turn left (north) on Camp Drake Road.
  5. Drive north for 1 1/2 miles until Camp Drake Road ends at CR 1500 N.
  6. Turn left and continue for a half mile to the Camp Drake entrance.
