Although she is finishing her third week, please welcome Irene Choi to Prairielands Council. Irene serves as the District Executive to the Many Trails District.

 

Irene comes to us after finishing her Masters Degree in Jazz Trombone Performance from the University of Illinois. Irene earned her bachelors degree at the University of Vermont. She is a native of Maine, but was born in Champaign while her dad was attending the University of Illinois for his masters.

 

While in college Irene had the chance to to work for AmeriCorps Vista serving as a community planner for Green Mountain transit. While doing this, she gained an appreciation for non profit work and decided that is where she would like to spend her career.

 

Irene is a very musically talented person whose hobbies include music and performance. You can find her performing in weddings and festivals on the weekends.
