Prairie Fire Cub Fun Day is coming up September 26th! Cub Scouts have the chance to run, jump, shoot and throw and earn Belt Loops and Pins. The event is held at Parkland College in Champaign. Word Flyer PDF Flyer
This year's Smilin' Pumpkin Shooting Sports Fest is set for Sunday, October 17, from 1-4pm at beautiful Camp Drake. All current and potential Cub Scouts and their families, register now for a fall afternoon of shooting fun.
There will be three separate BB gun shooting ranges, three different archery ranges, rock-skipping on the Salt Fork River, Cubs on Wheels (cars for young drivers), sports throwing games, and a basketball shooting contest/soccer kicking challenge! Other activities that you can enjoy, if you bring your own equipment can include bike riding on the campsite trail roads and fishing at Poncho Pond! Click here to register.

Sept - Illini Jamboree - This annual event happens in September (but registration is due much earlier). Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Scouts of all ages attend the Jamboree at the former Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul. There is a Cub World where Cub Scouts can learn and have fun. But, the highlight for Cubs (and Moms and Dads) is attending an University of Illinois Football Game on Boy Scout Day!

Oct - Smilin Pumpkin - This event at Camp Drake lets Cubs experience the outdoors. The fun includes BB gun and archery events for even the most inexperienced Cub Scout.
Oct - Webelos A Day - Saturday October 16 at Parkland College. Four of the most difficult Webelos pins to earn (and to teach Cub Scouts) are Engineer, Scientist, First Aid and Handyman. At Webelos A Day, a Webelos can earn one of the pins in just one morning. Word Flyer
