Pinewood 101

 

Pinewood 101 will be held at CU Woodshop in Champaign, on Sunday Janauary 28 from 10 am to 2 pm with the last group going through at 1:30. Cars, wheels, and decals can be purchased on site Sunday if you do not have a materials. All Cub Scouts are welcome to attend to learn and make a pinewood derby car! See our for more details.

Leave No Trace

 

The Leave No Trace Trainer course is an informative, practical & fun workshop on ethics and pratices of minimum-impact recreation and travel. Prairielands Council is offering this weekend course March 2-3 at Camp Drake. Scouts trained in LNTare eligible to fill the Outdoor Ethics Guide leadership postion within their Troop. Registration closes on February 16th, so register now at www.campdrake.com/lnt before the course fills up!

 

NYLT

 
The upcoming NYLT Course is still open and looking for participants! The dates for the course are February 23-25 and March 9-11. This is open to all Scouts and Venturers! Call the Council Office to register for the course at 217-356-7291.

Youth Recognition Dinner

 

The youth recogintion dinner will be held on February 17 at 5:30 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign. All Scouts who earned their Eagle Scout or Summit Award in 2017 will be recognized for their achievements. If you'd like to attend, pleae fill out the and turn in to the Council Office.
