Fighting Illini Scout Camporee Update - Register Now for a Special Prize!
Prairielands Council is partnering with the University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics to host the Fighting Illini Scout Camporee at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 8th in conjunction with the Illinois football game against Purdue. This event is being specifically designed to offer unique opportunities for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers and units of all types are encouraged to attend!
As a special incentive, the first 10 units who register for this event in June will receive ONE Deron Williams bobblehead! Cub Scout Fishing Event
Prairielands Council, Boys Scouts of America, is hosting a free fishing event for all area boys who
are interested in Cub Scouting or Boy Scouting. Boys and their parents are invited to the west end of Kellart Lake for an afternoon of fun and fishing from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 12.
Directional signs will be posted at the entrances to Kellart Lake from Route 49.
Please bring your own fishing pole and lawn chair; bait will be provided. If you do not have a fishing pole, one will be provided.
Boy Scout Troop 157 will host a campfire dinner at 5 p.m. for all who attend.
Any boy who joins Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts on Sunday will receive a free rod and reel as will any Scout who recruits a new member.
